We have released our LDAP search Tool 'Phuzby' as open-source under the the GNU/GPL License. Please feel free to head on over to the sourceforge pages to find out more about the project and download a copy.

Phuzby will let you search your organisation's LDAP directory, such as Active Directory or Novell eDirectory, for the contact details of colleagues, customers or suppliers. The current release is only distributed as source code as the connection details for your Directory must be entered (in the file Main.java) before the program is compiled and built for deployment on your corporate network.

Phuzby can display a photo for each person, and can even read out loud the telephone number to help you dial the it correctly. In fact, if your phone system supports TDMF tones, you can hold your handset near you PC's speaker and phuzby will dial the number for you!
